I am a Dutch New Media master student at the University of Amsterdam. I am currently working on the final test: the thesis. Which I expect to be finished in March 2012.
I love interactive storytelling, data visualization and creative coding. The topic of my thesis is not surprising. And, hopefully, I will be able to find a job within this amazing field.
The thesis contains two parts. The first part focuses on the who, what, when, where and why questions. This is based on literature, articles and presentations.
The second part of the thesis is dedicated to the how question. The graphics are coded on aspects such as interactivity, storytelling, authorship, user empowerment, visual presentation and front end technologies.
The collection does not contain all interactive graphics produced by the two newspapers. At some point, you have to stop collecting and start writing.
